Hi fellow Quilters!

Summer is finally here with flowers and gardens in full bloom! With two gardens to take care of and two peach trees loaded with peaches (with anticipation of canning all in the near future) I have been trying to sneak in quilting projects in every spare moment. I have 11 new patterns that will be up shortly on my website. The latest is called “Stella”. She is very elegant yet extremely simple to create! Her story begins in 1995 as a dream that my Mom had of her. Upon waking in the morning she immediately sketched her out and she became a lovely quilt.

Mom and I have sold many quilts over the years at various events and somehow she got talked out of “Stella”. “Stella” had been on display. To her dismay she really missed her and was going to make another quilt but never quite got around to it. Then since starting Jenny Penny Designs, I had asked her that she needs to make her again so that we can offer it as a pattern for all to enjoy. She said “yeah I should”...but just didn't get to it yet.

At the North Iowa Quilters Guild Quilt Show in April, we were talking about “Stella” when a very loyal customer piped up and said ’I have Stella hanging in my house!” can you imagine the surprise on our faces! We were thrilled! I asked her for permission to borrow her for a while to get a pattern off of her. I created “Stella” in my own fashion but in keeping it within the original design. Her pattern number is JPD # 1033.

As I said earlier there will be 11 new patterns up on my website very soon. My Web-mistress is in the process of teaching me how to do this. No easy task I might add. But I love learning new things. You will find a variety of new patterns to play with and an updated look! Until next time….
